This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced industrial roofing and cladding Estimator to join a very well established specialist sub-contractor based in Manchester.

£40k to £45k plus

About our Client

My client has been established within the industrial roofing and cladding sector for over 40 years. Their projects can consist for: flat roofing, metal roofing and cladding, as well a rainscreen cladding with values going up to £5 million. Now they are looking to expand their estimating team.

About the Role

• Evaluate client’s enquiry documents, checking the feasibility of design within the parameters of the specified system, also site logistics, programme, building regulations, etc.
• Correspond with the client and seek clarification over any omissions or conflicting documentation.
• Prepare material costs using system software.
• Obtain quotations for supply of materials and sub-contract elements.
• Compile pricing document using material, plant and labour costs. Apply the appropriate margin.
• Draft formal quotation, prepare documentation supporting our proposals.
• Submit quotation within the client’s time frame.
• Follow up quotation submission - communicate with the client at various stages of the tender process and prepare quotation revisions as required.
• Attend internal meeting once a contract has been won, handing the project over to design, commercial and contract management personnel.
• Attend regular estimating review meetings, chaired by the Director.

About the Candidate

• Must come from an industrial roofing and cladding background
• Organised and methodological with a keen eye for detail
• Ideally based in or around Glasgow
• Ability to remain calm under pressure
