Quality and Safety Lead, Workforce Development and Education, Corporate Nursing Secondment/Fixed Term - 9 Months An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Quality & Safety lead in the corporate nursing workforce development and education department. If you have a passion for ensuring high standards of care through clinical governance and quality improvement we would like to hear from you. The post holder will lead and develop the quality and safety agenda within the workforce development and education. You will be responsible for co-coordinating, monitoring collating and advising on all aspects of quality, patient safety and risk management. You will lead the annual review of the Trust’s mandatory training prospectus and collate, analyse and interpret information in order to feedback to the quality and safety governance committee as well as local governance performance meetings. You will work closely with the senior clinical team and offer expert advice and guidance where necessary. The post has an important role in ensuring compliance against CQC fundamental standards and as such a key theme will be to support the Deputy to Chief Nurse for Workforce Development and Education to develop and embed effective risk management processes and systems to enable quality improvement of education and training and ensure learning from audits, serious incidents and complaints is incorporated in the review of all essential skills training. This is a delivery-focused role and to be successful you will need to be highly organised, have excellent service management skills, be highly persuasive and be able to manage competing priorities. You will need excellent communication skills, as you will be overseeing a rich portfolio of work and working with a diverse range of stakeholders. Experience of working with commissioners for services and other external agencies, as well as other provider services would be valuable. The ideal candidate will have a clinical registration, with experience in the hospital setting, and enjoy working in a dynamic team who are committed to the provision of high-quality care to patients and service users.
