Technical Content Producer

  • Job Type: Permanent
  • Salary Type: Per Annum

Swytch is changing the way we move. We fundamentally believe that transport shouldn't cost the Earth - so we've made it our mission to make electric transport accessible to everybody.

Since launching in 2017 we have reached over 20,000 customers, across 50 countries who have collectively ridden over 1 million miles! Since then we have raised over $1.4M to scale our operations and secured a $400K Innovate UK grant to develop a next-generation hybrid eBike system for the future of shared electric vehicles.

Founded by Engineers and cycling enthusiasts Oliver Montague and Dmitro Khroma, Swytch is a close-knit team dedicated to creating low carbon transport solutions which are fun to use and good for the planet. We’re now growing our team to keep up with the unprecedented demand for our technology, and to be part of the electric transport revolution.

The Team

The Marketing team is headed up by our Co-Founder, Oliver Montague. The team consists of a Front-End Developer, a Digital Marketing Executive, a videographer and a PR Grad. The role of the team is to present the optimal face of Swytch to the world through our website and other media.

Over time your responsibilities will grow to producing branded and advert content for our marketing team, ultimately building to helping us produce our next crowdfunding campaign video.

You will have front row seats during our global expansion, working side-by-side with our founding team to drive the business forward in its third year.

This a junior to mid-level role. This role will give you the opportunity to own your development whilst being guided by our senior team, to ensure you meet your full potential.

Responsibilities include:

  • Organising and documenting our existing and new content to be easily found and navigable
  • Writing of articles and common technical FAQs for our customer base
  • Updating our manual
  • Pitching your video concepts to CEO and cofounder Oliver Montague
  • Building relationships across the business and establishing yourself as the technical content expert
  • Working closely with the workshop to prepare for video shoots with the correct equipment
  • Constant questioning of the status quo and working to improve our communications
  • Understanding and reporting on the success of your content according to clicks and views, and any other relevant data

You will have:

  • A background in a technical or engineering degree to show your aptitude for understanding complex technical products.
  • Fluency in the Adobe Suite including PP, AE, PS, AI.
  • An ability to communicate complicated information in a simple and interesting way
  • Proven experience in producing written and video content to a high level (including writing, directing, producing and editing)
  • An excellent problem solving skillset - thinking strategically about an approach to deliver the problem solving content to a wider customer base
  • The potential to quickly become recognised as a safe pair of hands
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a wider team, and to thrive under pressure.
  • Ability to adapt to new systems and technical information quickly
  • Knowledge and interest in bikes or electric bikes will be a huge bonus

  • Unparalleled opportunity to develop your career rapidly through exposure to all company areas in a flat structured start-up.
  • Typically flexible remote working environment; come sit in our office in East London and enjoy a daily free lunch or work from home in the comfort of your own home, anywhere in the UK.
  • Open and transparent company culture giving every employee direct access to our founders and our quarterly business reviews.
  • 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays.
  • An annual program of wellbeing activities.
  • Annual training budget per employee.
  • An Oculus Quest VR headset so you can join our weekly virtual socials.
  • Electric Penny Farthing Lessons.

Our team comes from a variety of backgrounds and we embrace our differences. We aim to be diverse in our people, our thinking and our innovation.
