We are recruiting for an Document Controller to join the project team delivering a major construction project in Central London.
What will you do?
* Support in the classification, indexing, catalogue, shelving and circulation of books, periodicals, papers, classified reports and documents.
* Maintain and monitor the inventory of resources, managing purchase requisition, compiling statistics and generating reports to ensure accurate inventory.
* EDMS experience, ideally in Kahua however other platforms are acceptable, the candidate should be able to talk through previous platforms used.
* Proven experience to liaise with a diverse range of stakeholders from internal correspondence, client, supply chain partners, designers, engineers and architect’s to organise, upload and manage all documentation across the job from drawings, reports, specifications, schedules etc.
* An understanding of managing a typical change control process on a construction site and how this impacts document management both for a client, but also various consultants and supply chain members.
* Provide weekly documentation status reports.
* Able to demonstrate previous job experience under Managing Contracting form of JCT contract and communicate how and why document control and management is extremely important to the successful running of a job of this type [desirable not essential]
* Management of team training matrix ensuring team members are aware of upcoming expiry of professional training, re booking for new training etc
* Assistance in early procurement of each subcontract package – collation of document registers, utilisation of an EDMS to run individual reports
You will bring
* Relevant tertiary qualifications in librarianship and/or information management, and/or tertiary language qualification.
* Experience in library information management, and/or knowledge of information management and PC applications and / or translation services.
* Sound communication and interpersonal communication skills.
* Well developed research and writing skills.
