Your new role
We are looking for an Apprentice to work within our Private Works team. This is a small team with big aspirations to grow our private sales offer.
• Focusing on extensions, property refurbishments and delivering adaptations to enable people to live longer and more comfortably in their homes you will be part of the project from start to finish.
• No day will be the same, you will have the opportunity to continually develop your skills and industry knowledge, working on different projects with a multi skilled team who will support and guide you through your apprenticeship.
About the role: • You will learn the relevant aspects of bricklaying and masonry works within our private works team. • You will learn and undertake tasks as directed by your Supervisor with an emphasis on customer satisfaction, high standards and quality. • You will learn and develop your knowledge and competence in your chosen trade. • You will learn and demonstrate an understanding of health and safety requirements, other relevant legislation and Codes of Practice. • You will provide brilliant customer service to our customers. • You will live the Yarlington Values in everything that you do. • You will attend college and complete all course work on time and to a high standard.
As part of the Yarlington apprenticeship programme, you will have a welcoming and supportive team around you to ensure your apprenticeship is a success. This includes a dedicated mentor who will work alongside you to show you everything there is about working as a Trades Operative at Yarlington, a Supervisor who will prioritise your health and safety and work requirements and a Talent Lead who will oversee your progress and regularly review this with you to ensure you are making the most of your apprenticeship.
Your base will be Yeovil, however you will also work within a team that maintain our properties within the surrounding areas too.
The length of this apprenticeship programme is 2 years.
