Offering a permanent position for an assistant design manager to join them in leading from the front and delivering an exceptional service every time.
As an assistant design manager, you will be assisting in the management of the design process from inception to completion of the works, ensuring that it meets the employer’s criteria, that it is coordinated and delivered to meet the time and budgetary constraints of the design and the construction process giving due regard to cost in use and life cycle costing and build ability issues.
Assisting the design manager with reviewing proposals from internal and external consultants ensuring the most competitive and effective solution is arrived at
Assisting the design manager with supporting the Procurement Department in evaluation of alternative solutions offered by subcontractors
Assisting the design manager with reviewing payments with the commercial team to ensure that payments to consultants are done correctly to reflect the work undertaken
Assisting the design manager with ensuring reports or design information has been produced in line with the payment schedules
The ideal candidate for this role will be someone with a relevant qualification within design or architectural design who is looking to develop a career within the construction industry.
The following skills and experience are also required in this role;
Excellent knowledge of AutoCAD design software and Adobe Acrobat
Strong time management and communication skills.
Experience of working on high rise and / or mixed-use developments
A willingness to learn and develop your skills / knowledge
PLEASE NOTE: THIS ROLE REQUIRES EXTENSIVE TRAVEL WORKING AWAY TUESDAY - THRUSDAY ON A WEEKLY BASIS
This company is offering some excellent benefits including an attractive salary of up to £25,000, car allowance, attractive travel incentives, 25 days holiday + bank holidays and an early Friday Finish. Your working week would be as follows: Monday in the office – Monday 5pm / Tuesday morning travel to site (site to be determined) work on site Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday – Thursday at 5pm travel home – Friday in the office until 3.30pm.
