Human Resources Business Partner (Community) - G11 Human Resources Business Partner (Community) Ref: 23219 Location: Harrow Council Directorate: Resources Services Contract Type: Fixed Term Working Hours: 36 hours Closing Date: 04/10/2020 Interview Dates: 09/10/2020 Overview This is a fantastic opportunity for a HR Business Partner (Community) to join the HR team at Harrow Council on a Fixed Term basis until 9 th April 2021. The post holder will ensure delivery of the provision of consistently sound HR advice and support to Directors and Managers on all aspects of people management reflecting options available and the likely risks of each options. The post holder will also act as a single point of contact for the Community Directorate to deliver a high quality and customer focussed HR consultancy and advisory service in line with the needs of the Directorate. Located 10 miles from the city centre and just 13 minutes to Euston from Harrow & Wealdstone station there are great transport links via the Metropolitan Line, Watford DC Line and national rail service. It is easily accessible to the M1, M25 and A406. About you To be successful in this role, you will have: Good working knowledge and understanding of the principles and application of employment legislation and case law, European directives, best practice and employment tribunal procedures. Experience of working with trade unions, involvement in conducting consultation and conflict resolution in a large and complex organisation with multi-stakeholders involvement Experience of building and managing relationships with clients departments mangers and trade unions, providing expert advice, conducting meaningful and effective consultation and conflict resolution. Experience of successfully supporting change programmes, working collaboratively with representative groups and other stakeholders on complex HR issues including TUPE The ability to demonstrate resilience – e.g. in face of management and trade union pressure and when facing demanding workloads For additional information please refer to the Role Profile/ Selection Criteria.
