Previous care experience – essential, ideally a step in for a candidate with some organisation, admin, office responsibility.

To give you an idea a coordinator is foremost responsible for the weekly rosters and all aspects of it. You will be fast thinking to cover absence, proactive to plan ahead and a cool head under pressure.

This role comprises of being able to work at all levels of office duties, answering telephones, communicating to all our clients and carers, email correspondence, general admin. Your working hours will also involve care and further to this may involve hours outside the norm.

Being a Care Coordinator:

  • In charge of weekly rostering including responsibility of covering all care hours to be filled.
  • Point of contact for new and existing clients. When it regards care visits and minor requests, or directing them to the right person / department

Client and team support:

  • Telephone management
  • Diary organising, coordination of appointment and meetings
  • Maintaining CQC regulations
  • Undertaking client assessments and reviews when requested by manager
  • Resolving issues and service standards and redirecting to correct person and department if required
  • Admin duties including printing and document storage

HR, Training and recruitment:

  • To work with Management to implement new care package
  • Compliance with CQC regulations, maintaining an understanding of regulations & updating knowledge as required
  • Recruitment resourcing, training and interviewing

Essential skills:

  • Care or Support experience
  • Being able to take on call duties
  • Car driver
  • A people person able to communicate at all levels

Preferable skills and requirements:

  • NVQ Qualification in care
  • Any office administration or team leadership skills
