Join us as a Surveillance ManagerTake on a role to assist with executing trader pricing controls within COO which are used to evidence that NatWest Markets is satisfying its regulatory requirements to provide best execution to customersYou'll be working with senior stakeholders, including at an executive level within the business, drawing on your experience in trading and risk managementIn this highly collaborative role, you’ll have an ideal platform for building your network and advancing your career, while helping to create a safer environment for the bank What you'll do As a Vice President within COO, you’ll be working within the first line of defence on the effective management of NatWest Markets pricing controls with a focus on establishing trader pricing controls and governance to provide second or third line of defence oversight.You’ll also have responsibility for supporting management in their identification and assessment of material risks, and in determining their position relative to agreed appetites. Working with senior stakeholders across the bank, you’ll look to drive forward the development and delivery of remedial action plans where identified risks are considered out of appetite.You’ll also be:Coaching and supporting colleagues across the bank to improve understanding and embed a proactive risk cultureAnalysing risk reporting and metrics used to inform decision makingEducating teams on the operational risk framework and our conduct risk obligations, supporting the business in operating and embedding themSupporting and regularly engaging with relevant stakeholders including second and third line of defence, and risk teamsEnsuring internal and external stakeholder satisfaction by delivering risk and control actions in a timely manner The skills you'll need To be successful in this role, you’ll need to be a highly skilled leader with experience of applying risk and control management in an operational and strategic context. You’ll also need excellent communication skills as well as being able to negotiate with, and influence, stakeholders across an organisation.You'll have extensive financial services experience, ideally within a front office trading environment, along with excellent knowledge of interest rate derivative products and FX option products and the relevant markets for currencies and fixed income businesses.You’ll also bring:Expert knowledge of pricing methodologies, principles and processes relevant to trade executionKnowledge of product pricing and key pricing models and an ability to competently operate controls and complete quality assuranceThe ability to work with interested stakeholders from the second and third line of defenceStrong knowledge of risk assessment and scenario analysis methodologiesSignificant business and operational experienceComplex problem resolution skills with the ability to articulate innovative solutions where established procedures may not exist An ability to understand the composite elements of a tradeHours35Full time
