Strategic Partner Manager, News, UK/I

Facebook is seeking an experienced Strategic Partner Manager to build and enhance successful relationships with News partners in the United Kingdom and Ireland. This person will be collaborating with the existing Media Partnerships team and focus on implementing strategic partnership plans around Facebook products, tools and services with a diverse range of News organisations and journalists across UK/I.This job requires high levels of creativity, news knowledge and strategic thinking as you will be helping a broad range of news businesses develop innovative social experiences and business solutions on Facebook and Instagram. You will be the face of Facebook and Instagram to our external relationships at senior levels and serve as the primary point of contact for both internal and external stakeholders. In these unprecedented times we are looking for someone who can think strategically, articulate their vision yet also roll up their sleeves to get the job done. This person will have knowledge of the news industry, its content strategies and business models, and the ability to devise and execute programs and solutions that add value to the goals of Facebook and our media partners, along with a passion for news and working with news organisations and journalists. This position is based virtually in our London office for now and will involve travel when considered appropriate. Strategic Partner Manager, News, UK/I Responsibilities Establish strong partnership relationships by understanding and supporting business, content and social strategies Track, analyse, and communicate key quantitative metrics and develop and execute against partnership goals Become the primary point of contact for and maintain strong direct relationships with Facebook’s key partners Be an internal advocate for news partners Participate in industry events including conferences, workshops and presentations representing FB Build strong cross-functional relationships within Facebook, working across timezones and departments to build workable solutions for partners and FB Minimum Qualifications BA/BS degree required or relevant experience Strong experience in the news industry with focus on digital news and partnerships Experience in local news industry would be preferable but not required Experience in social media and digital media industries Experience leading pan-regional or global projects preferable but not required Experience working in and influencing global cross-functional teams Experience in presenting and public speaking Locations About the Facebook company Facebook's mission is to give people the power to build community and bring the world closer together.
