Professional staffing recruitment specialists Barclay Meade are working with a leading FMCG business based in central London, who are seeking a Senior Demand Planner / Demand Manager to join them on a permanent basis. Important Demand and Supply Planning experience within FMCG. The Job This brand are seeing rapid growth and offer the opportunity for quick progression within a dynamic business. Location - Central London Salary - up to £45,000 + bonus and benefits Key responsibilities for the position of Senior Demand Planner / Demand Manager - Overall owner for the S&OP process for the brand globally, business partnering the CEO, CFO and sales leads on volume forecasting Owns the Oracle Cloud planning platform for the brand, supported by the IT team and the central Prestige organisation, ensuring continuous improvement of performance, data availability and reporting. Generates and maintains a monthly SKU level unit demand plan for each channel, using statistical forecasting and also manually overlaying activities and market insights. Develops relationships with key internal stakeholders in Sales, Marketing, Finance, Logistics and Customer Care to ensure insights based on facts and with appropriate challenge are incorporated into plans Liaises with marketing & R&D teams on NPD & EPD, ensuring appropriate guidance on product change is issued to sales teams & built into the demand plan Maintains pricing data by SKU and channel in order to convert the unit demand plan into a revenue (cash-up) forecast Reconciles that cash-up forecast against the top down finance forecast, identifying drivers of gaps and working to close those gaps where appropriate, aiming to maintain a variance within a target of 2.5% of revenue. Gains alignment on the total forecast with channel leads and the brand LTs, highlighting gaps vs. budget and driving action to close any gap Manages incremental short term stock requests to exploit market opportunities, liaising with the supply planning team and keeping commercial colleagues informed of risks to supply Owns continuous improvement of S&OP process performance, meetings and decision making in support of effective supply & demand balancing. Draws on best practise within the company externally, benchmarking equivalent businesses and building support for improvement plans Maintains KPIs on forecast accuracy and forecast change and uses appropriately to drive appropriate accountability for stock issues and prioritisation of accurate forecasting with stakeholders. Tracks trends in forecast accuracy and drives targeted action to improve performance. Works alongside the Supply Chain Planning Manager to drive consistency in ways of working, and efficiency where possible, especially towards commercial colleagues working across brands Key skills and experience required for the position of Demand Manager / Senior Demand Planner - 5+ years' experience in Fast Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) Supply Chain, including hands-on experience in demand planning role Graduate calibre with relevant degree level educational qualification or equivalent experience Highly numerate, with strong data analysis skills and attention to detail. Very strong Excel skills are a must, and experience with ERP systems & possibly statistical forecasting software is also helpful Broad awareness of the functions within a premium branded beauty business & role of demand planning in that Ability to work cross functionally, clearly advocating S&OP across functions, and adapting style appropriately with those of different skillsets Articulate and confident in presenting complex data to senior audiences A leader with the potential to build a demand planning team over time A passion for succeeding and willingness to take on broad accountability in a growing business Independent and self-motivated, comfortable with a fast-paced, ambiguous environment If you have experience working within a Demand Planning / Forecasting role within FMCG (Food, Beverage, Cosmetics, Pharma), and are looking for a new challenge, then please apply below.
