IT Asset Manager

Becoming an IT Asset Manager will give you the opportunity to manage the development and maintenance of the asset management, professional and business system(s), including the coordination and development of asset inventory data for all assets, condition data and service levels to meet national standards. Ensuring that the safety and the condition of the Council"s highways assets and structures are maintained effectively in a coordination way to achieve maximum efficiency and value for money through effective asset management and data integrity. You will be the go-to technical representative of the service for all Re Highways asset management systems, including software and hardware provision, technical support, work scheduling and compliance with the provider contracts, Council and Capita policy and standing orders. You will be responsible for effective customer and stakeholder engagement and awareness, providing customer service excellence at all times through the maintenance and management of the service"s asset management, professional and business system(s). This role is working for Re, Re is a Joint Venture between the London Borough of Barnet and Capita delivering Highways, Planning and Regulatory services on behalf of the Borough. The Re Highways Service exists to provide high quality and cost-effective highways and transportation management solutions, which are of real benefit to residents, businesses and visitors of the London Borough of Barnet, both now and into the future. The Service encompasses three integrated teams i.e. Asset Management; Traffic Management & Compliance; and Performance, Programme and Innovation. The teams are underpinned by robust Business Support Functions to ensure the right decision at the right time. The Service has in place clear performance and improvement mechanisms to ensure that every team understands and delivers against their roles and responsibilities in relation to "The Way We Work". This approach enables all activities to be undertaken in an integrated and focused way delivering the Service vision, objectives and outcomes in an accurate and timely fashion, ensuring Service Excellence at every point of customer contact. What you will be doing: Supporting staff responsible for entering and updating data. Creating Works orders and managing workflow. Financial monitoring from and in relation to the system(s). Supporting uptime and integrity of asset management, professional and business system(s). Providing training to end users on the asset management database. Providing reporting from and in relation to the system(s). Supporting and undertaking internal audits to ensure system integrity and compliance including data security and GDPR. Supporting the core asset management system, maintaining data integrity at all times. Supporting Operations Managers and Senior Management Team in the development and review of business systems and reporting, including business process reviews and recommendations. Supporting the Project Management Office in the development of forecasting and trending reports to aid future planning. Management of the asset database, the day to day running of the system and housekeeping. Develop and running of reports using system reporting tools and third-party tools such as Power BI and Crystal Reporting. What we"re looking for: Relevant professional work experience in Information Technology and Asset Systems management or equivalent. Degree Level in Information Technology, Business Computing or equivalent. Excellent knowledge of using asset management systems. Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, Teams, SharePoint, Project and AutoCAD. Good knowledge of GIS systems. Demonstrable experience of onsite and off-site data quality auditing. Demonstrable experience of performance management including KPI delivery. Demonstrable customer care skills.
