Glemsford Surgery, part of West Suffolk NHS Foundation Trust (WSFT), is seeking an innovative General Practitioner to join its Primary Care Service in the west of Suffolk. Practice Details Glemsford Surgery is a rural practice based in the heart of idyllic Suffolk. Situated in an area noted for its best-preserved historic towns and prettiest villages in Suffolk. On the east of England, Suffolk has much to offer including its 50 miles of gloriouscoastlines, breath-taking skies and areas of outstanding natural beauty. Glemsford is within 90 minutes of London and 45 minutes of Cambridge so also easy to access larger services and benefit from city life. The Surgery is a GMS practice, serving 5200 patients. Our aim is to deliver high quality patient care to our local community. Working alongside a friendly and committed existing clinical team of 3 GPs, 1 Advanced Nurse Practitioner, 2 Practice Nurses and 1 Health Care Assistant, you will contribute to providing responsive, safe and effective healthcare. The surgery is a high QOF achiever and prides ourself on our exceptional patient survey results (rated highest in Suffolk in 2019/20). We are CQC rated “Good” in all areas (November 2016) and Annual Regulatory Review in August 2019. Using SystmOne, DXS, Eclipse risk stratification software and through our integration with WSFT, you will have access to a range of data and information to support you in your role. Future developments include becoming a Training Practice, development of GP Clinical Fellowship programme and projects to ensure GP time is focused on clinical care rather than administrative tasks. As well as benefiting from working within the WSFT, you will also be a member of a local Primary Care Network (PCN) who are keen to expand the clinical workforce through additional roles such as First Contact Practitioners, Paramedics and Pharmacists. Additionally, Glemsford Surgery benefits from a co-located Pharmacy (Glemsford Services Limited) enabling clinical and patient access to an in-house Pharmacist providing expert help and advice for medication issues.
