Responsible for VIC/TAS/SAMotors & Generators Mechanical / Electrical industrial experience ABB Motors and Generators deliver a complete range of motors, generators and mechanical power transmission products for all industries and applications. We provide the highest quality and service to our customers all around the world, with a focus on helping to use energy more efficiently. You will be a key source of market intelligence for the Motors and Generators Sales Team. Reporting to the Division Manager, your ability to articulate the ABB offering from a strategic, customer and industry perspective will help convert business opportunities into positive results. Your responsibilities Responsible for sales of products within a VIC/SA/TAS market in accordance with strategy. Build long term customer relationships and managing resolution to specific customer needs and issues. Identify and develop sales opportunities. Establish and maintain effective customer relationships in order to recognize customer needs and provide a suitable solution. Create added value for the customer to ensure the successful outcome of transactions, contracts and proposals by using effective sales techniques. Manage administrative procedures in sales processes and support related activities when needed. Build reliable and consistent partnerships with OEM’s to build long-term commitment. Provide relevant value proposition to customers. Ensure appropriate technical and financial aspects of offer, including price and terms and conditions. Your background Minimum five years’ experience in new business acquisition and business development in the Electrical / Mechanical Industrial Segment. Experience with an electric motor industry peer would be advantageous. Knowledge in ABB’s Motors and Generators portfolio of products, services and solutions would be an advantage. An electrical/mechanical engineering degree (or recognized equivalent) preferred Exceptional communication and negotiating skills, customer-focused mindset and a professional, “can-do” attitude.
