We're looking for a candidate to fill this position in an exciting company. You'll take overall accountability for all IT and operational technology (OT) projects within their Transmission business, delivering significant value and change through technology. Additionally, you'll design and develop mechanisms to predict and measure business benefits, as well as proactively identifying and proposing new innovation opportunities and solutions to business problems. They are looking for an experienced senior IT professional, with demonstrable experience within a complex IT environment, including the management of performance of multi-disciplinary IT teams throughout the entire system development lifecycle. A good understanding of their Transmission business and the group operating environment, including the highly regulated landscape they operate in, would be advantageous.You'll be digitally savvy, with proven experience of leading multi-million-pound programmes of work, end-to-end, considering the technical, operational and commercial implications and benefits. Additionally, you'll need experience in selecting, monitoring and managing vendors, suppliers and third-party resource providers across complex IT programmes.High emotional intelligence and stakeholder management skills will be critical in this role, as you'll proactively build and manage strong partnerships with the Transmission leadership team, and other key stakeholders across the group. You'll be resilient, creative, adept at influencing at all levels across the organisation and will demonstrate the drive to manage and deliver complex programmes.You'llbe open and collaborative in your approach, with a high degree of emotional intelligence. As an experienced people manager, both direct reports and other stakeholders will look to you for inspiration and motivation to deliver in a collaborative, inclusive and flexible way, adapting to changing business and project priorities as required.
