Have you been looking for your first Non-Executive Director role but need that Board level experience? Then this may be the role for you.Mersey Care NHS Foundation Trust has undergone a period of significant growth and transformation over the last four years; an exciting journey which is set to continue over the next 3 years too. We have developed a new role of Non-Executive Board Advisor to support succession planning for Non-Executive Director positions.This new role would be a non-voting lay role to support the work of the Board.This role requires the successful candidate to have experience in the business sector with expertise in transformational change. You will have to be able to demonstrate financial and technical acumen, have a clear understanding of commercial profit and loss and be a strategic thinker who can see the bigger picture.You will have to be willing and able to challenge the ‘status quo’ and put forward ideas and suggestions that may push the Board thinking into uncomfortable places. You will personally be motivated to drive change to meet the needs of our diverse communities in one of the largest combined mental health and community services trusts in the North of England.To ensure diverse representation at all levels across the workforce and to understand the differing needs of our diverse communities, the Trust is committed to the principles of Positive Action.
