Associate Director, E-Commerce & Retail, EMEA In this exciting new role within the Kao Salon Division you will own the strategic growth plans for the E-Commerce and Retail channels within the EMEA Region. You will do this by leading and developing the strategic plan (where relevant), trade terms and joint business planning process for EMEAs most influential E-Commerce and Retail customers. As the key individual responsible for building the EMEA E-Commerce capabilities across the Region, you wil work in close collaboration with the Countries and the Regional Channel leads and lead delivery of net sales and profit targets within the EMEA region for E-Commerce and Retail channels. This role, reporting into the Vice President Commercial, EMEA, leads the strategic and commercial direction of the E-Commerce and Retail channels in the EMEA region. In this role you will get to lead the EMEA strategy (where relevant) on where to play and how to play for the Kao Salon brand portfolio across both sales channels, to deliver best in class consumer engagement and conversion at point of purchase. The person in this role will collaborate closely with local country market teams to co-design the Annual Joint Business Plans for the most influential customers that are seen as leaders in both luxury retail and E-Commerce within the Region. You will be responsible for developing the overall EMEA capabilities in retail and E-Commerce to establish EMEA Kao Salon Division as the trusted adviser and preferred business partner for salon professional products. Partnering with the local teams, you will ensure consistent execution against the overall regional strategy and identify opportunities for growth. This role-holder will partner with the wider EMEA Commercial Team to ensure that the channel plans are complementary to the Direct and Wholesale Channels and that the brands are developed in-line with their market positioning. They will collaborate closely with the Oribe Global team and regional GM to ensure EMEA is consistent in execution for the brand across all regions. What you will do: Lead the development, delivery and implementation of the Regional E-Commerce & Retail go-to-market strategy to deliver annual Net Sales and Business Profit targetsDefine and execute the where to play and how to play for the Kao Salon retail brands identifying the optimum channel partners and plansLead creation of annual channel master plans, combining brand NPD and Commercial initiatives alongside channel specific activitiesLead CS&M Manager in creation of channel fundamental toolboxes to support base business growth Partner with local country teams to develop and deliver the annual Joint Business Plans for the most influential E-Commerce and Retail customers within EMEALead country teams in creation of bespoke Joint Business Plans that deliver maximum value and profitability for Kao and the customerIn collaboration with local Country retail and E-Commerce roles, lead bi-annual Joint Business Plan discussions with customersLead quarterly JBP (joint business plan) reviews with the local Countries with the aim to identify what has worked and what actions need to be taken to cause correct any issues to ensure on track delivery for budget Net Sales and Business Profit target achievement In collaboration with local countries identify white space channel opportunities within the EMEA region. Design and deliver business proposals that articulate the opportunity, financials and brand benefits of the partnership. Developing the capabilities of the Country teams to build strong acquisition plans for the realizing brand listing. Partner with the wider Regional Commercial Team and the respective functional teams to build brand continuity, support growth across all sales channels and generate the most cohesive E-Commerce and Retail strategies possible. Manage direct reports in the creation and delivery of annual E-Commerce and Retail master plan. Build and cascade the E-Commerce and Retail sections of initiative toolboxes to enable Best in Class executions into local country teams. Own relationships with external agencies and partners specifically employed to support the strategic growth of the E-Commerce and Retail channels. Define the needs of the business and create business proposals to justify investments. Coordinate the analysis of local results across brands to identify areas of concern and success. Ownership of the Regional share and reapply process across markets to ensure use of best practices throughout the world. What you will need: 5-7 years of relevant sales and leadership experience Experience Managing people/ multi-functional teams preferred Experience with Amazon and other key E-Commerce players Experience with store sell-out strategies and implementation Experience in luxury beauty preferred Driven for Results – achievement of invoiced sales targets and business profit Negotiation / Influence - Envision and influence the local teams to execute deployed plans with excellence Collaboration & Leveraging Multi-Functional Resources – working across functions within the Global, Regional and Local teams to coordinate efforts and tools to deliver against identified priorities Customer strategic alignment/execution – ability to make decisions on key projects in order to deliver the highest return on investment Communication – ability to communicate clear priorities and progress tied to business results Strategic Thinking – ability to analyze, understand core areas of opportunity and develop holistic plans to execute change and bring about improved performance/results Who we are: Founded in Japan in 1887, Kao is passionate about making a difference in people's lives with our high quality products and services that make the life of our consumers and customers more beautiful.
