This exciting role will be part of a newly created regional office team with a remit to double the lending book. Their focus is on BTL , Owner Occupier, Mixed Use Commercial Mortgages. About the Relationship Manager - Commercial Mortgages

As the Relationship Manager - Commercial Mortgages you will have an exciting opportunity to drive commercial lending business within the region in an established but growing lending environment.

INITIAL KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Origination of lending targets as allocated
  • To Undertake personal development to maintain / strengthen credit skills, valuation & KYC analysis.
  • Develop industry & competitor knowledge, inc networking events.
  • Assessment of new Commercial Lending proposals including financial performance, borrower background, property analysis, tenant analysis and serviceability.
  • Meet with prospective clients and undertake sufficient due diligence and information gathering in order to make an informed assessment of the lending request.
  • Build strong relationships with new and prospective clients to ensure that lending proposals are converted into business won, in line with individual and team lending targets.

Essential Skills and Competencies of the Relationship Manager - Commercial Mortgages

The ideal candidate will have skills/knowledge of:

  • Minimum 3 years experience within Commercial Lending
  • Experience of interaction with Commercial Lending customers.
  • Experience of developing / building commercial lending business.

Desired Skills and Competencies of the Relationship Manager - Commercial Mortgages

  • Excellent negotiating skills.
  • Advanced communication skills - ability to build rapport with clients.
  • Business development experience - proven ability to close complex sales.
