About the Role
As a Worldwide Senior Credit manager, the role will play a significant part of our enterprise business, working with regional and local credit team to minimise financial exposure to Global Payments, by reviewing/approving larger and higher risk businesses. 

The role will entail assessing credit risk, conduct detailed investigations on the business model and financial history of merchants to determine their creditworthiness while preserving a positive user experience. The key purpose will be to manage the MultiNational Commerce [MNC] proposals/relationships, which will require cross-functional partnerships with Sales, Legal, Finance and our various global teams as well as looking to improving merchant onboarding experience.

•Primary contact for the Multi National Commerce teams for the onboarding of new and additional business, and liaising with all relevant approval parties. 
•Regularly review and streamline the decision making process for complex/MNC deals
•Perform risk assessment based on financial and non-financial information to determine the merchant’s creditworthiness
•Minimise financial exposure to Global Payments through timely and robust decision making (new and existing facilities) within personal approval authority and making recommendations to senior Managers as required.
•Providing support and guidance on complex Card Acquiring relationships/propositions and Credit Policy to worldwide colleagues. 
•Building and maintaining relationships with the wider Credit teams by provide support, training and guidance. 
•Support MNC sales in regards to new and existing merchant questions around any changes to our policies
•Timely identification/escalation/action to address deteriorating trends and to mitigate losses locally and worldwide.
•Performing analysis on various regions, sectors and portfolios. Producing regular reporting, identifying any deteriorating trends and liaising with different regional teams as required. 
•Oversee high profile loss positions, liaising with internal and external customers and partners. 
•Maintain working knowledge of MasterCard and Visa regulations - specifically chargeback implications.
•Stay abreast of changes in high risk sectors which can have an effect on Credit Policy and our understanding of Card Acquiring exposure

About You

•Experience in commercial underwriting, ideally for merchants needing acquiring (payment processing) services
•Robust analytical and decision making skills, able to manage highly volatile risk situations under pressure. 
•Flexibility in working hours. 
•Enthusiastic, innovative, self-motivated and committed to continuous improvement. 
•Comprehensive knowledge of accounting principals, financial analysis, cash flow analysis and comfort reading and interpreting financial statements
•The ability to think critically about complex problems, weight appropriate factors and reach a swift definitive conclusion
•Strong collaboration, communication and relationship building skills, with an ability to influence stakeholders across organizations and borders
•Ability to articulate clearly and concisely in both verbal and written form
•Deep empathy for the challenges facing large, multinational merchants and are motivated to solve problems to empower them
•A curious, decisive, understanding and persistent personality
•Knowledge and understanding of AML, KYC and PCI
•Overseas travel may be required
