Responsibilities Summary: The investment professional will take a lead role in managing and expanding the Firm’s co-investment capabilities in Europe. This position offers an excellent opportunity for an investment professional with proven financial, analytical and communication skills and an interest in the alternative investment sector, to be part of a premier global investment firm that provides investment services to institutional clients. The individual selected for this position will be part of a team managing a large portfolio of private equity investments and will be responsible for supporting the team’s sourcing, diligence and management of the global Co-Investments investment portfolio. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Investments: Evaluation and execution of investment opportunities which includes deal due diligence, qualitative and quantitative analysis, deal team discussion/triage, management meetings, reference calls, legal and deal memorandums. Participation on the Co-Investment investment committee. Fundraising: Collaborating with senior investor relations, strategy and investments professionals to support the fundraising process as Adams Street raises new funds and separately managed accounts. Marketing and Sourcing: Working closely alongside the Primary, Secondary and Private Credit teams, support the relationships with existing ASP General Partners to derive deal flow. Develop a unique network of private equity and financial services professionals to source additional investment opportunities (non-ASP General Partners, fundless sponsors, attorneys, accountants, etc.). Qualifications The ideal candidate will be a well-rounded business professional with proven investing or relevant work experience and a record of success at a highly regarded financial institution. The candidate will be a highly motivated professional who sets and meets aggressive business and personal commitments with a demonstrated interest in private equity partnership investing. In addition, he/she will have: Graduated from a top-tier university; advanced degree preferred. Established a successful track record of direct investing analysis/due diligence in the private equity industry (+3 years); deep investment experience with solid judgment. Strong commercial sense; rigorous analytics and strong financial acumen. Broad reputation and network; extensive relationships in the European private equity market. A trusted strategic advisor and thought leader, with a high content approach to partnering with clients, general partners, and colleagues at all levels and teams. Possess the experience and gravitas to represent the firm across a wide range of constituencies. Strong verbal and written communication skills in English; multi-lingual skills a plus. Ability to structure and present complex ideas and information in a sim ple persuasive form, both written and oral. A highly motivated, self-starter with the ability to work independently while operating within a highly integrated global team context.
