Title: Finance OEH Hub Lead Grade: B (Senior Manager) Location: Watford, but with flexible options of working from home for part of the work week with expectation to attend the office between one and three times per week. Reporting to: Director of OEH /Finance COO Role type: Full time, Permanent Overview Our Operational Excellence Hub (OEH) plays a pivotal role in supporting the delivery of the business strategy, and as the Finance representative within that function this role plays a key part in delivering that strategy. The Finance OEH provides Finance transactional support to our UK Business and through our service pledge underpins our overall Finance strategy and vision for the firm. This opportunity represents a chance to lead a large, collaborative team which provides a wide scope of essential services to the UK firm and support the wider firm of c.17,000 employees. Crucially you will need to bring both Leadership and Management skills along with a demonstrable track record of overseeing positive transformational change to a finance team. Working collaboratively with the Finance COO, the Heads of Finance and the wider Finance and OEH community, this role will see you overseeing the management the operational delivery of our Finance OEH, whilst also being empowered to provide the leadership to develop and drive service excellence ensuring the service meets our client needs. Within KPMG we consistently look for ways to improve on the expectations of our clients across the business with the service we deliver and in this role you will be able to help us continue on that journey within our Finance Hub, encompassing both onshore, offshore and 3rd party providers within our existing model. The role is both accountable for developing and managing the service delivery to agreed SLAs and within a set budget and also leads on our continuous improvement of service delivery. Critical to this success will be building and maintaining effective relationships with key internal and external customers. Role and Responsibilities Overseeing day to day management of the Finance OEH people and process across our current operating model (Onshore / Offshore / 3rd party providers) Transformation and Change: Identify areas for improvement, innovate solutions and provide the leadership to oversee changes and improvements to our model to implement a “best in class” service provision. Providing leadership, vision and purpose to the OEH team, ensuring that effective relationships are built and maintained across the function and the appropriate levels within the business Set, review and monitor KPIs and SLAs for all Finance OEH areas and ensure these are achieved against SLAs and relevant quality metrics. Risk Management and reporting. E.G. conduct regular internal audits and close actions promptly. Deliver for OEH Finance Operations budget ensuring we meet all spend control obligations while working continually to identify and deliver cost savings to the firm. Maintain high customer satisfaction scores e.G. Voice of the customer / feedback surveys and reviews. Manage and review our outsource suppliers for Finance Operations, including the agreed SLA’s to ensure a timely, effective and a high level of service is continually provided from the shared service operation and our 3rd party providers. Work with key Finance and KBS OEH stakeholders and potential vendors in helping to shape transactional Finance strategic solutions across the business. Engage with OEH leadership community, continually seeking opportunities to collaborate, and align with OEH level strategic objectives and vision Lead activities to drive significant improvement in service, quality and risk metrics over the course of the year as measured on monthly risk returns and SLAs where appropriate. Provide Operational Excellence to our customers cohesively as one OEH; embed appropriate SLAs and ensure these targets are consistently achieved. Essential experience requirements: Demonstrable experience in the Operational Management of a Finance Shared Services in a similar large-scale environment within the UK across all disciplines (including contact centres, payroll and credit management etc) Leadership: Proven credibility to lead a key function and provide leadership and direction during a period of change as well as in day to day service delivery Demonstrable experience in in managing large scale teams (c.100+) Experience in engaging and managing outsource provider organisations on a day to day basis to effectively deliver finance services Experience of partnering with the business at a senior level as well as knowledge and experience of operational delivery Experience with managing budgets Change and project management skills and results orientated Influencing skills (able to build business partner relationship) with the ability to challenge at all levels. Ability to influence at a senior level and manage complex stakeholder relationships Effective experience in programme / project management of large change projects in a Finance team that encompassed the end to end process involved: identifying the areas for improvement, designing and innovating new approaches supported by wider stakeholders and overseeing the operational changes to completion and ongoing delivery. Desirable Experience: Commercial awareness Experience in managing both in-house and outsourced Finance Shared Services (offshore and nearshore operations) Experience in outsourcing Finance Shared Services from contract to go-live of service delivery Experience in the automation of Finance processes Experience in the implementation, coordination and development of Finance systems (SAP, Coupa)
