SharpEnd is the world’s first IoT agency, based in Hoxton and we need an experienced and ambitious individual to own the PR agenda. This is a critical role in the agency as it is vital to the building of our agency brand and to the development of new client relationships. We are an exciting agency doing exciting things, we have a strong track record of success and have exciting plans for growth. Reporting to the CEO, the PR Manager will be responsible for owning, leading and developing SharpEnd’s PR strategy. This includes developing, executing and delivering SharpEnd’s PR plans and budget, managing all media relations/press office activities, building/maintaining media relationships and managing an external PR agency to support PR initiatives.
Develop and own SharpEnd’s PR strategy, plan, goals and budget
Implement SharpEnd’s PR strategy to meet business objectives
Develop, maintain and protect a clear and consistent identity for SharpEnd
Develop and deliver PR plans/campaigns that include fresh and outside-of-the-box thinking to deliver high-impact social and traditional media coverage
Manage and deliver all media relations and press office activities,
Identify high-impact speaking opportunities and support these by developing appropriate messaging for speeches, presentations and roundtable discussions
Agree social media objectives and content strategy.
Build and maintain strong relationships with external press across relevant sectors
Manage issues/crisis as required
Work with senior management team to develop their external profiles
Monitor the news agenda across relevant sectors, demonstrate a good understanding of the industries and apply this to all communication approaches
Track, measure and report on the effectiveness of SharpEnd’s PR activities
Manage external PR agency to support on major initiatives
Experienced PR/external communications professional capable of working at a management level.
Media relations, issues management, speaking engagement support, social media and event management.
Sector knowledge of and/or media contacts in fashion, cosmetics, CPG & drinks.
Predominant B2B experience, with some consumer PR experience.
PR agency experience, or substantial hands-on experience in an in-house role.
Experience in a fast-paced, creative business.
Experience working with high-profile brands and/or retail names.
Understanding and knowledge of the retail market and/or B2B tech.
Experience managing external PR agencies.
Commercially focused with resilience / tenacity to deliver in a fast-paced and creative environment.
