As part of the overall Paid Media Team, the Display Media Buyer collaborates with our Media Planning Team, Client Services and Display Practitioners to facilitate the Media Buying and Function on behalf of Jellyfish.
The ideal candidate will have expert knowledge across all channels and an in depth understanding of the digital media landscape to be able to best advise internal teams to create effective campaigns.
The role encompasses constant analysis and management of our inventory. Ensuring what we access is cost effective and of the best quality for our Clients and Campaigns. Additionally we expect the ideal candidate to be great at building and fostering relationships with our suppliers to ensure Jellyfish are driving forward innovative thinking and media planning and buying excellence. The successful candidate should be commercially aware, solution driven and have a passion for our evolving industry.
Ownership of the Jellyfish Inventory Strategy.
Including but not limited to managing access and negotiation of ORTB, PMPs, Programmatic Guaranteed, Header Bidding, Direct Publisher Relationships and 3rd Party Data inventory types.
Continual review of Jellyfish Inventory, ensuring access to quality and cost effective inventory.
Ownership and management of Jellyfish Inventory Suppliers
Continually review and build our buying capabilities to where the industry is seeing growth (Example: Mobile App, OOH, Broadcast & Connected TV).
Continual Internal education of Display Practitioners and Client Services regarding inventory and supply.
Collaborate closely with Data and Planning, Client Services, Account Directors and Display Practitioners to recommend best inventory placements and facilitate those Media Buys for and on behalf of Jellyfish Clients.
Serve as a trusted consultant, consistently bringing solution oriented ideas to meet business challenges.
Continually review and develop our Media Buying processes and efficiencies to facilitate and support this part of the business
Be an SME within the team around existing and new in market, industry formats and changes.
Managing our Tech Partners such as Viewability and Brand Safety Partners
Managing new Inventory Partners. Enable access to new inventory and bidding sources. Enable the Jellyfish Display Team to upskill in different Platforms and allow access to improved inventory sources and the ability to take on different Client Categories that require this inventory.
Compliance. Ensure Display Team and Inventory Management is compliant to Industry initiatives such as UK: DTSG Compliance and US: TAG Compliance
Knowledge & Experience Requirements
Strong understanding and experience of SSP / DSP / DMPs and media buy types.
Knowledge of digital channels and the role that they play within the wider media mix
Proven success in Media Strategy Development
Demonstrable experience brokering and fostering supplier relationships
Knowledge of media planning tools and systems

Numerate, commercially astute and an effective negotiator
Exceptional attention to detail and organisation skills
