Data Protection Officer We are looking for two highly experienced and proactive Information Governance professionals to take on the role of Data Protection Officer (General Practice) in the North and West Kent areas, as part of a five person team providing effective support and assistance to General Practices. The Data Protection Officers are responsible for a specific geographical area, as outlined below. Medway and Swale Dartford, Gravesham and Swanley West Kent East Kent (x2) The Data Protection Officers (General Practice) work as part of a dynamic team of Data Protection Officers raising the profile of data protection and the Information Governance framework by delivering an effective service to the GPs in their allocated area. Acting as the named Data Protection Officer for their allocated practices and the first point of contact for all enquiries from GPs, the post holders will be responsible for providing professional advice and assistance as necessary. The post holder will need to be a highly motivated and enthusiastic individual with extensive experience in the field of managing Information Governance/Data Protection. This is a busy role and the post holder requires a flexible approach to work, be able to use their own initiative and work effectively on their own and with other team members. The ability to quickly establish effective relationships with both GP practices and internal CCG colleagues; a proven standard of all round IT skills and the ability to plan and organise their own workload without supervision is essential. They should also be able to use their own initiative and consistently drive for high quality customer service in line with the CCG values. In line with government guidelines, CCG staff are currently working from home. As such, all shortlisted candidates will be required to attend interviews via Microsoft Teams.
