About the team

In FIS, the Data Solutions Group (DSG) sits within the Product Growth Office, alongside other functional groups focused on new product development, product strategy and innovations, marketing, and partnerships. The Data Solutions Group drives revenue growth for the business lines by creating data products and services and monetizing the collective data assets. We work across all FIS divisions to deliver our enterprise data strategy and data solution set.

Within DSG, the Data Science team collaborates with multiple areas of the organisation to deliver innovative machine learning powered products. We also work on Statistical Modelling, Microservices, Decision Science, Service Monitoring and Alerting.

What you will be doing

You will be supporting the DSG Data Science team and broader Product organisation in building, deploying and supporting machine learning based services to optimise payments. You will work in a cross-functional virtual team, alongside Product Managers, Architects, Business Analysts and Developers, and will be responsible for completing data analysis tasks using SQL and/or Python.

What you bring:

You will have very strong analytical skills and have the ability to grasp complex information quickly. Have previous/current experience analysing large amounts of data. You will have a deep understanding and proven experience in delivering within Data Warehousing, Business Intelligence or Big Data projects.

Good interpersonal skills are key to the success in this role, demonstrating a variety of influencing styles to enable effective communication of analysis and results.

To succeed in this role, you can demonstrate:

  • Experience analysing large amounts of data using SQL, Python or similar tools
  • Experience working in a project-based environment
  • Experience communicating complex analysis to non-technical stakeholders
  • Innovative, resourceful and with good problem-solving skills

Added bonus if you have:

  • Experience in Data Science or statistical modelling
  • Experience delivering projects using Agile SAFe methodology
