Job Category: Social services / care / work Job Location: Grange-Over-Sands, Grange-Over-Sands, UK RECRUITMENTiQ are working in partnership with a residential home that is currently seeking 2 Night Care Assistants. 33 hours ( 3 nights ) per week each. Wage Structure Hourly Wage Rate £9.30 weekdays Hourly Wage Rate £9.55 weekend Increment of £0.10 for NVQ 2 Increment of £0.15 for NVQ 3 Bonus of £1 per hour for exceeding contracted hours 15 pence per mile commuting fuel allowance for journeys over 15 miles Annual Leave 5.6 weeks annual leave pro rata which must be taken between January & December Night time care assistants are responsible for: Preparing breakfast and distributing it to clients. Cleaning The Old Vicarage. Checking residents on a regular basis. Washing and iron linen. Completing night report before going off duty. Checking the building is locked and all windows are closed. Attending staff meetings when they are held. Attending specified training sessions Night care assistants do not see the residents at their full potential. Residents may be tired, exhausted and confused in the morning and evening. However, night care assistants are crucial in ensuring that residents care is maintained. A resident who is distressed or confused at night may be at their most vulnerable and without high quality care and attention, they will be exhausted during the day. They will have no quality of life. Night care assistants see a side of residents that few health care professionals see. They have an incredibly important role in ensuring that the health of residents does not decline. The more vulnerable a resident is, the more important the night care assistant"s role is.
