Established in 2013, bringing together Liberty’s company, syndicate and reinsurance operations into one combined operation of over 1,900 people, over 50 specialty and commercial insurance and reinsurance products and four underwriting platforms.Role of Department: Finance in Liberty Specialty Markets (LSM) consists of circa 100 FTE and has a number of key roles: · To partner the business to enhance decision making with a focus on strategy, planning, analysis and reporting. Support is provided both to the three management ‘Pillars’ – Specialty, Commercial and Reinsurance – and also to the supporting functions within LSM · To ensure that all external financial reporting requirements (statutory, regulatory, tax, capital etc) are fulfilled. LSM consists of a Lloyd’s Syndicate, a UK insurance company with European branches, a number of small service companies and a portion of a US balance sheet Role of Function:Treasury forms a key part of the Capital, Investments and Treasury function within finance. The key role of the function is; · Capital planning and forecasting, capital management including fungibility and efficiency, and ensuring LSM · Day to day and medium to long term Treasury management, including cash flow forecasting and cash fungibility; · Ensuring asset liability matching whilst pursuing an investment strategy that optimises return within set risk appetite. Treasury is central to aiding the delivery of the overall LSM strategy through paying our clients, brokers and suppliers in a timely, accurate and efficient manner.Key Responsibilities · Product expertise/business experience in SAP Central Finance and/or S/4HANA with specific focus on SAP Finance/Controlling/Accounting; strong knowledge of SAP S/4HANA Finance · Knowledge of upcoming changes in SAP FICO with SAP S/4HANA, as well as an eagerness to learn, prototype, and grow expertise in the latest SAP financial technologies · Provide specialist level configuration and functional knowledge in designing SAP Treasury solutions. · Provide Application Management Support as a Lead in Incidents, Change Requests and Service Requests in Treasury. · Participate in user requirements gathering, blueprinting & documentation designs.
