Marketing Manager, ResearchSolutions (Fixed term contract to Perm) London, UK Closing date: October 1st, 2020 Springer Nature's Research Solutions are currently seeking a Marketing Manager to globally raise awareness, generate sales leads and retain clients for this prestigious range of products. Research Solutions comprises a strategically important portfolio of Nature Masterclasses, Nature Research Academies, Editing Services and Data Curation & Management services. Working autonomously within a friendly and supportive team environment, you'll prepare and implement marketing campaigns from inception to completion as well as being a valued stakeholder, working very closely with the product management, sales, operations, and web teams. The successful candidate will have a can do attitude and experience of working across a range of digital marketing channels for commercial lead generation including, but not limited to, social media advertising, email automation, display and PPC. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone to showcase their skills by shaping and driving the marketing activities of this important portfolio. The team are going through an exciting period of growth and expansive transformation. This is being offered as a fixed term contract until the end of the year, with a view to going permanent in early 2021. Key tasks and responsibilities: Strategic Plan - Working with the Head of Marketing, Direct Sales, develop the strategic marketing plan for Research & Data Services for the B2B market designed to achieve revenue and other business goals of the commercial sales team, namely to: Generate leads for sales teams Deliver upsell and cross-sell positioning to increase sale value Nurture leads and existing clients Drive retention Lead Generation - Map customer journeys and create content marketing strategy aligned to personas and journeys to generate leads and build awareness of capabilities, knowledge and experience. Product Development - Act as key marketing stakeholder on product development, taking an active role in idea generation, testing and assessing products. Customer-centric - Develop a customer centric approach, identifying key market segments and creating customer profiles to best target clients. Data Driven - Utilizes data and analytics to demonstrate measurable ROI for campaigns, and to make evidence-based decisions on resourcing and future activities. Sales Partner - Manage the marketing relationship with the global sales team ensuring that the sales teams have needed sales collateral, understand the product strategy, and receive a pipeline of sales qualified leads. Sales CRM - Usage of CRM systems marketing functionality to manage sales funnel Pricing Strategy - With the Research Solutions product team, sales teams, and manager determine pricing strategies and discounting strategies ensuring that we are able to achieve monetary goals. Collateral -Work with the Media Collateral Project Manager to produce sales materials for the Research Solutions portfolio of products. Conferences and events - Work with manager to select, plan, and execute involvement at relevant conferences. Represent the marketing team at key conferences. Budget management - Oversee budget for assigned portfolio with input from manager Client Feedback - Monitor client feedback through conference attendance, client meeting attendance, development of surveys, etc. Internal Communication - share results of marketing activities with key stakeholders particularly sales, marketing, editorial and product management Regional Marketing - Liaise with regional marketing staff to share marketing activities and strategies for localization Product Champion - Be a Product Champion for assigned product/product grouping Experience, skills and qualifications: Proven marketing experience, preferably in a sales focused marketing environment Experience of developing marketing strategies and plans, both offline and digital Managing budgets and proven cost control Lead generation and content marketing campaigns Proficient experience with digital systems and platforms including Google Analytics, using a CRM such as Salesforce, and email automation software such as Hybris, social media platforms including Facebook, Twitter and Linkedin Excellent digital marketing experience, testing new capabilities Understanding of current SEO and SEM best practices Knowledge of digital product development process Excellent time and organizational management skills Strong verbal and written communication skills Personal effectiveness in handling complexity, change and challenges in a matrix environment To Apply: Please submit a CV with covering letter stating your salary expectations.
