By coupling in-depth analysis of portfolio behavior with Visa's world-class products, digital offerings and marketing capabilities, we ensure our clients' programs operate at their peak potential and that cardholders have seamless commerce experiences in both the physical and digital world.\n \n What a Business Optimization Analyst - Insights Delivery does at Visa: \n \nAs part of the Visa Direct Client Services organization, the Business Optimization Analyst will help to deliver this vision to our clients across the Europe region. In this role, you will use strong analytical skills, contextual business sense and a creative flair to solve real world business challenges for Visa issuing banks, acquirers and merchants.\n \nThis role derives analytic insights on client performance and helps to deliver findings from those analyses to external and internal stakeholders. Prior to completing an analysis, this role will formulate and source the necessary datasets from internal tools and platforms, rendering insights in compelling presentations and visualizations. Specific activities may include:\n \n• Create and present analytic deliverables to colleagues in the analytics team, other internal stakeholders with varying degrees of analytical and technical expertise as well as external Visa clients.\n \n• Get to an understanding of root problems, define analytical objectives and formalize data requirements for various types of analyses.\n \n• Combine and analyze disparate data sources and derive insights in a Big Data environment; independently perform analysis to render robust, thoughtful results.\n \n• Compare client performance against industry best practices with a shrewd eye toward identifying performance and/or profitability improvement opportunity.\n \n• Develop presentations of complex data and content for clients in an accurate, understandable, and engaging manner.\n \n• Manage entire authorization improvement campaign process, creating new initiatives and governance over implementation to meet regional authorization improvement goals\n \n Why this is important to Visa \n \nOur analytic consultants and data analysts work with Visa's staff and clients to improve portfolio performance, program profitability and cardholder experiences. By coupling in-depth analysis of cardholder behaviour with Visa's world-class products, digital offerings and marketing capabilities, we ensure our clients' programs operate at their peak potential and that cardholders have seamless commerce experiences in both the physical and digital world\n \n Qualifications \n \n What you will need: \n \n• Extensive experience working in data analysis and/or insight delivery with a proven record of creating business value from data.\n \n• Degree educated in a quantitative field.\n \n• High level of proficiency manipulating data from a variety of sources - Big data skills (Hadoop, Hive, Spark) and/or SQL skills required.\n \n• Experience visualizing data with tools like Tableau; advanced Tableau skills are highly desirable.\n \n• Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal skills.\n \n• Must be proficient in all MS Office applications with advanced Excel spreadsheet skills.\n \n What will also help: \n \n• Working knowledge of Visa transaction processing, including authorization & clearing systems\n \n• Knowledge of advanced statistical techniques and concepts (regression, properties of distributions, statistical tests and proper usage, etc.) and experience with applications is an advantage.\n \n• Ability to work effectively in a matrixed organizations.\n \n• Visa experience or knowledge of the payments industry is a plus.\n \n Additional Information \n \n Projects you will be a part of: \n \nAs part of the team, you will get opportunity to work on strategically important projects for clients and Visa.\n Working with Product, Readiness and Sales teams to identify opportunities and leverage on internal tools and expertise and develop holistic solutions to help increase service quality, revenue and efficiency for clients Understanding the new use cases and service requirements and coordinate internal resources to accomplish Visa and client objectives Take part in onboarding of new Visa Direct merchant partners\n \nThis role is responsible for solving complex problems and taking a broad perspective to identify innovative solutions.
