Group Financial Controller

Receipt Bank is a disruptive solution in the accounting industry and our colleagues have the curiosity and ingenuity to thrive in that environment. We are currently seeking a Group Financial Controller to join the business reporting directly to our Finance Director. The Group Financial Controller will take full responsibility for accurate and timely monthly reporting, ensuring actuals are aligned with business strategy. They will also be heavily involved across a range of other areas including accounting, tax, treasury and M&A. They will work on a range of strategic projects and play a key role in the ongoing expansion of Receipt Bank globally. The role - what you’ll do: Management of group & subsidiary accounting and reporting operations, ensuring accuracy of book-keeping and timely delivery of financial statements and tax reporting requirements across the business Enhance the account reconciliation process, drive deadlines, enhance deliverables in relation to the month-end close and financial statement preparation process Oversee subsidiary statutory accounts preparation Improve and maintain internal controls and risk management processes Treasury management, including medium and long-term cash management and supporting the CFO on refinancing of debt and funding facilities Setup and own processes to onboard and integrate new products and entities/subsidiaries into accounting system and process Drive continued development and improvement of a flexible accounting and reporting system to enable the business to gain important visibility of key metrics vs budget targets Assist in financial due diligence of M&A acquisition targets About you - what we are looking for: Fully qualified accountant with previous experience in a similar role within a fast-paced, complex business Ideally an understanding of SaaS business metrics and a background in technology organisations Solid technical accounting experience, with significant knowledge of IFRS The ability to spot process weaknesses and develop pragmatic solutions to address these issues and deliver robust structures and controls Team-focus with a natural ability to both lead and do Strength of character to build effective working relationships with senior stakeholders High standards of professional integrity A sense of humour! This is a highly visible role and the Group Financial Controller should be able to make light of challenges were appropriate in order to keep the team and the function as a whole pointing in the same direction
