Senior Benefits HR Risk & Compliance Manager


We're looking for a candidate to fill this position in an exciting company.

  • Earn and maintain business partners’ trust as a thought leader.
  • Monitor jurisdictional regulations, evaluate risks and recommend actions.
  • Consult with legal, HR policy, process, business, and system owners to design and deploy risk-based controls.
  • Monitor known and emerging risks, measure internal control effectiveness, and work with business/support teams to develop action items to remediate identified risks.
  • Direct on-site and virtual compliance audits, draft audit reports, results, and remediation plans.
  • Generate written narratives and statistical analysis on emerging/active risk topics for senior leaders that educate and facilitate discussions including the potential business impact(s) and range of risk- based recommendations.
  • Participate in training on control programs and policy.
  • Able to travel up to 20%, as necessary.
  • 6+ years professional or military experience in HR, compliance and risk management.·
  • Experienced with employee benefits administration.
  • Bachelor’s degree or the equivalent combination of education, training and/or experience.
  • Demonstrated problem solving and decision-making skills.
  • Demonstrated effectiveness in written and verbal communications.
  • Advanced degree in a related area (MBA or JD).
  • Applicable Employee Benefit or other risk/compliance certification (e.g., IRM).
  • Experienced working with HR data and reports.
  • Experienced building cross-functional partnerships and influencing cross-organizational leadership without administrative ownership.
