Midlands and Lancashire Commissioning Support Unit (MLCSU) is a forward-thinking organisation providing expert support and advice to help Clinical Commissioning Groups (CCGs) and other customers to deliver improved health services to their local populations. We support customers through delivering an extensive range of services from Contracting and Business Intelligence to Medicines Management and Optimisation. We are offering an exciting opportunity for a Practice Pharmacist to deliver Medicines Management services across the Wirral locality. The successful candidate will work closely with medical and practice staff to promote and implement high quality, evidence-based, cost-effective and safe use of medicines across Wirral. You will work with the local Senior Medicines Optimisation Lead, Medicines Optimisation Pharmacists, Medicines Management Technicians and other Practice Pharmacists, to develop, audit and monitor Medicines Management processes within GP practices and provide training and supervision as deemed necessary. Where required the post holder may support other local Medicines Optimisation and hub teams to provide the wider service. We are looking for an enthusiastic pharmacist who is adaptable to change, with excellent clinical skills and computer literacy. Candidates must have good organisational skills, be able to work independently, be a good team player and be able to travel across Wirral. You must demonstrate a keen interest and enthusiasm to develop your personal skills and meet the challenges required. Applications are invited from suitably qualified pharmacists with a minimum two years post - registration experience in primary care, secondary care or community pharmacy. Post graduate clinical pharmacy qualification and experience in GP practice systems is desirable.
