Practice Development Leader

Description

Practice Development Leader - Blackpool Children & Families Service A great opportunity has arisen to join Blackpool's Principal Social Worker’s new Practice Development Service.  We have developed a new service which consists of 6 Practice Development Leaders and Senior Practice Development Leader. Working with the Principal Social Worker, the service supports our workforce, across Children and Families Service, to implement Blackpool Families Rock and our new ‘Working Well with Families across Lancashire’ principals. Based upon our learning from our strong ASYE Programme of Support, this new service will develop an Academy approach to support Children & Families Service workforce and a Social Work post graduate Continual Professional Development, in accordance with Social Work England’s Knowledge and Skills Statements (KSS). The service supports practitioners to implement learning from a range of quality assurance methods and celebrates and shares good practice examples via a range of methods. We work in partnership with our Human Resource colleagues, taking a lead in organising all recruitment processes, supporting staff who are absent from work in their return to work and work alongside individual staff and teams to support their practice development. We also reflect on learning from complaints using a restorative methodology and develop Policies and Procedures to clearly reflect new ways of working. To apply you will need to be a qualified social worker and have significant experience of working within statutory Children’s Social Care. You will need to have experience in developing and delivering training and have the ability and credibility to work alongside our Children & Families Service to support others’ in their learning. Please watch our vimeo links below about how we have co-produced Blackpool Families Rock principals with families and carers and our recent partnership launch of ‘Working Well with families’. These vimeos evidence how our Children and Families Service and Blackpool’s partnership work ‘with’ families, supporting them at the earliest opportunity, to ensure children are safeguarded, have great outcomes and experience permanence as soon as possible. If you would like to play a valuable role in supporting this exciting new service development please submit an application today or contact Kara Haskayne, Principal Social Worker & Head of Service - SQR Service & Practice Development Service on 07342 703962 or Karen Andrews on 07469038512.
