AAT Accounting Apprenticeship
The AAT Accounting Qualification is a world leading accounting qualification recognised by UK employers as the right qualification for practical accounting. This is the best qualification to kick-start your career in accounting and finance and it is a fantastic way to progress into the ACCA or ICAEW.
Students are expected to attend classes one day a week and will sit scheduled exams. Alongside this qualification we will provide an ongoing work placement within a chartered Accounting firm to enhance your employability skills and get you into employment.
You can expect to be placed into a Junior Accounts Assistant or Accounts Administrator role.

What to Expect
In order to assess and enhance your employability skills, you would be enrolled onto the pre-apprenticeship programme. As part of the pre-apprenticeship, you will attend a mix of classes and the work experience program to gain relevant employment skills. This can last for about 6 - 12 weeks.
How the programme works
If you have excellent academic grades but lack practical experience to kick start your career in accountancy then The Training Place of Excellence is the place for you.
The Training Place of Excellence gives you the opportunity to start your AAT classroom sessions before you have been employed. Moreover, students will have the ability carry out work experience with St Mary’s Accounting services to gain practical accounting insight before being employed.
After the completion of the apprenticeship you should be able to apply for the following roles; Finance Assistant, Bookkeeper, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivables, Accounts Assistant or Trainee Accountant.
