The Company - This company are a provider and operator of loyalty and reward solutions that strengthen customer and consumer loyalty and improve member engagement within and through sporting passion centers. The PositionBased in NorthEast Manchester (Failsworth), this company are actively seeking a ASP.Net Developer to join the company's expanding team. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work on a variety of projects across the companies portfolio of products.The ideal candidate will have exposure of both back end and front end web development gained from using a range of Web Development technologies. Responsibilities - TechnicalThe ASP. Net Developers primary roles and responsibilities will be:*Development of new company databases / websites;*Optimisation of existing databases / websites;*Interpret business requirements, transfer these requirements into an agreed solution and illustrate the implementation of such requests;*Work to plans / deadlines in delivering company web based projects;*Suggest alternatives where existing paths of development can be improved;*Work to deliver IT web based requests;*Produce timely solutions to company website issues;*Carry out any other tasks which are reasonably required in order to fulfil the needs of the role. Essential Skills & Experience - Technical*Experienced in ASP.NET Web Forms and ASP.NET MVC with C#;*Writing SQL with MS SQL Server 2008 +;*CSS;*Javascript/jQuery or other Javascript frameworks;Essential Skills & Experience - Other*Consuming web Services using XML or JSON;*Experience of Continous Integration tools such as Team City, Jenkins or similar.*Source control using Git;*Unit testing using NUnit, XUnit, Moq or similar*HTML;*Proven commercial experience of working with ASP.NET, with a desire to achieve the best results for the business; *Able to identify and prioritise workload / associated stakeholders and build rapport with internal and external clients;*Ability to understand and interpret business specifications, delivering quality solutions;*Ability to work as a team in order to deliver timely solutions;*Excellent communication skills to build relationships with colleagues in other offices;*Have an organised and methodical approach to work;*Ability to work under pressure and prioritise own workload;*Work 'hands on' in order to push the department and their work priorities forward;*Have a keen interest in web development technologies;*2-3 years experience in a technically orientated environment/role.Desirable Skills & Experience*2:1 Degree in IT;*Exposure to writing APIs using ASPNET WebAPI or similar*Exposure to Open Source technologies such as Grunt, Gulp;*Exposure to Entity Framework*Web site optimisation*Exposure to Test Driven Development;*Managing IIS*Any exposure to CRM & CMS systems.Additional InformationHours: 9am - 5pm Monday - Friday with an hours break for lunch;Salary: Competitive and dependent on experience;Industries: Loyalty, Rewards, Leisure and Sport.To apply for this exciting role please send your CV
