The main purpose of the role will be to drive the adoption and spread of innovation, taking ideas from inception to the point of delivery, building capacity and partnerships both internally and externally to GMMH. This role is perfect for someone who is creative, energetic and full of big ideas Main duties of the job The role of Head of Innovation will lead the finance function in the strategic and operational management for the design, monitoring, evaluation and reporting of the Finance Strategic objectives ensuring safe delivery and achievement of all innovation projects including service development and improvement initiatives and identified Efficiency and Productivity Programmes. The post holder will lead for the finance department on both the Innovation Programmes and Projects, and the delivery of business as usual Programmes and Projects at the same time. The role will provide proactive and innovative leadership to enable the finance function to continuously improve and develop. They will work with the Director and Associate Director of Finance to foster a culture of innovation and fresh thinking, identifying areas to influence policy and guidance and it emerges. Our substance misuse services and leadership were rated as ‘Outstanding’ Detailed and main responsibilities As Head of Innovation you will manage the following key areas: Work with the Trust leaders (clinical & operational) to identify innovative practice and how this can be embedded within GMMH To identify a network of national and international peers to learn, grow and partner with. Work alongside the costing team to bring the payment system to life across the Trust and to influence nationally The post holder will ensure that transformation initiatives are coherent and managed using appropriate project management methodologies, service improvement tools and techniques To work closely with Quality Improvement function to support the delivery of Quality Improvement initiatives and workforce training throughout the Trust and to other key stakeholders across the ICS. To analyse and interpret highly complex workforce and financial facts and information to optimise performance. Management of finance transformation Programmes and projects from set up through delivery to benefits realisation Lead the Trust approach to Future Focus Finance and OneNHSFinance Develop and maintain the PMO framework ensuring that it is relevant and accurate and provides assurance on delivery of finance projects Be responsible for analysing and interpreting the performance of projects and using highly complex data ensuring targets are reported on and strategies put into place to manage delivery. There may be conflict and differing opinion due to limited information which needs to be overcome. To plan and implement new ways of working within the finance function and facilitate collaborative working across the GM footprint to utilise best practice.
