The Candidate will be a first level Registered proffessional, educated to degree level or hold an appropriate professional qualification relevant to Mental Health to Degree level. Candidates will have a minimum of 5 years post registration experience in mental health, have a current relevant professional registration and have experience of providing clinical and managerial supervision. The candidate will provide professional advice and support to other members of the multi-disciplinary team and to other agencies, have responsibility for strategic development of the team, liaising with locality leads, mental health leads and other agencies. The candidate will be responsible for providing day to day operational management of the Community Mental Health Team, ensuring provision of a high quality mental health service which is efficient, effective, well organised, responsive, needs led and user focused, to people with mild to severe mental health problems.The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that the team works cohesively and that NHS Highland protocols and guidelines are in place to enable the team members to practice within the service framework. The successful candidate will assist in taking forward local and national strategies to develop community mental health practice therefore will require excellent communication, interpersonal and time management skills.
