The Role
Are you an experienced midwife who is passionate about women’s health care services? Are you committed to delivering high quality, safe, effective maternity care? If so, we want to hear from you.
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced midwife to be part of the leadership team within the Women & Children’s Service at GEH. We are a forward thinking, passionate service providing a wide variety of care to women.
The Maternity Services have an excellent reputation for woman centered, family friendly care and provide a range of models of midwifery and obstetric care provision. These include a home birth service, promotion of normality, continuity of carer models, and specialist care provided by our obstetric teams for women with more complex needs.
You will be responsible for the leadership of Maternity & Gynaecology outpatient services. These include clinic, maternity triage and our day assessment area. In this role, you will support the delivery of strong visible clinical leadership, promoting professional standards and guidance to all maternity & gynecology staff. You will ensure that the highest standards of woman centered care are being maintained across the service.
This role is critical to the successful delivery of maternity and Trust corporate strategies.
The ideal candidate will bring to the role a commitment to high quality up to date maternity care and be a motivational, approachable, innovative and respected leader.
