Senior Manager - IGH Consulting (Local Government - P&C) The TeamOur Local Government Team is an integral part of KPMG’s Infrastructure, Government and Healthcare Practice. Joining our industry leading practice will expose you to work on a range of high profile assignments helping local government address their most challenging issues and achieve their biggest opportunities. You will benefit from working with and alongside specialists from a number of disciplines and experts from our Global Centres of Excellence. The RoleWe expect our Senior Managers to be able to perform in key areas: Delivery of projects; Sales and business development; Practice development; Managing and leading our people. The Senior Manager appointed will focus on continuing the development of our Local Government consulting practice. Their technical competence will be in People and Change and they will also contribute more broadly to the growth of People and Change across the wider KPMG Infrastructure, Government and Healthcare practice.Delivery of projects:You will lead the delivery of large scale performance improvement and transformation programmes; working with clients across a broad spectrum local government engagements including:- fiscal challenges faced by local government- local government reform- social care demand and redesign - cost reduction - performance improvementSuccessful candidates will be expected to manage work as an integral leader within the Infrastructure, Government and Healthcare team, leading teams and working collaboratively with KPMG colleagues and clients to: - Lead the delivery of large programmes/ engagements that implement practical change for the benefit of service users- Provide insight based on detailed analysis and international best practice - Plan and deliver changes to help improve operational performance and reduce costs - Introduce and evaluate new ways of working - Reconfigure services within an organisation or more broadly across a local government and health-economy - Support the integration of health and social care and regional devolution - Move services into alternative settings and develop new models of care The Person You will be a talented and ambitious senior leader with a demonstrable working experience in local government, ideally with health and central government knowledge.The ideal candidate will have deep and relevant experience evidenced by their demonstrable track record of leading teams to deliver significant transformations in local government. They must also be able to operate effectively and demonstrate an ability to successfully carry out business development, including proactively build and maintain strategic relationships with key internal and external stakeholders (such as Local Government executive teams including the Chief Executive or Finance Director)Particular experience of:- Whole council transformation, with a particular focus on organisational design for performance- Local government reorganisation- Behavioural change management- Local government senior management team and senior political relationships and networks Job Segment: Consulting, Business Development, Management Consulting, Manager, Government, Technology, Sales, Management KPMG International Cooperative ("KPMG International") is a Swiss entity.
