Permanent - Finance Transformation Consultant PERMANENT | FULL TIME Our Finance Transformation Consultants support the growth of our high performing functions consulting capability, working alongside our clients to inform, shape, integrate and separate their corporate functions and deliver transformational change. As such, the role covers business development, client relationship building, quality delivery and capability development. embracent delivers change, often enabled through technology. Therefore, the individual(s) may be responsible for delivery of client solutions that include organisation design, process improvement, integrations and separations, ERP, Finance systems, Robotic Process Automation and Business Intelligence. Our Finance Transformation Consultants run finance and back-office transformation engagements of any size in an efficient and effective manner, and are responsible for their delivery within agreed timescales, budgets and conformance to agreed requirements. They are responsible for the efficient utilisation of assigned staff and any associated third parties and for ensuring that all project activities conform to embracent quality management standards and processes. Key Responsibilities Business development, working with senior client stakeholders to shape target operating models, injecting external insights and developing proposals that secure embracent led projects and programmes of work. Plans and manages the delivery of Finance and back-office projects, keeping client and embracent senior management informed about progress. Compiles and agrees the project plan with the client, and Statements of Work in line with contractual arrangements with the client. Monitors progress against project plan and budget, correcting and / or escalating abnormal situations, forecasting completion dates and impact analysis. Ensures that project objectives and client outcomes are met. Monitors and manages all individuals allocated to the project ensuring that all project activities are carried out in accordance with the appropriate standards.  Ensures risks, issues, assumptions and dependencies are managed effectively. Injects insights and leading practices into client engagements and engages with embracent technology teams to explore technology-led benefits with clients. Builds our high performing functions propositions, capabilities and solutions, driving the awareness and capability across our team. Supports marketing initiatives and client round-table events, adding insight and experience to position embracent as a trusted advisor. Required Experience An established Finance Transformation consultant with a proven track record of developing and delivering back-office transformation projects. At least 5 years’ experience in Big 4 (or similar) consulting or transformation and change roles. Degree educated or equivalent, with a recognised accounting qualification. Ability to develop client relationships and produce compelling proposals. Able to leverage their external network, promote embracent and our values and build pipeline opportunities and support their conversion. Demonstrable experience in strategy/vision development and Finance/back-office target operating model design, process efficiency and effectiveness, business intelligence and decision support. Track record of successful delivery of transformational change in Finance and across the back-office. Experience of M&A driven integration and separation of Finance and other corporate functions, working at pace in a private equity backed or similar environment. Experience in Finance systems and ERP implementation, familiar with technologies such as Microsoft Dynamics, Workday, PowerBI and reporting tools. An understanding and some exposure to the benefits of emerging technologies such as Robotic Process Automation, AI and Machine Learning is desirable. Experience in managing multi-disciplinary teams of more than 5 staff. Very strong Microsoft Office skills particularly with Microsoft PowerPoint, Project, Excel and Word. Excellent time management skills with demonstrable experience of working under pressure to tight deadlines and managing a high workload with conflicting priorities. Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to influence and manage a range of C-Suite and senior client relationships. Strong communication skills (verbal, written and listening): an ability to present information concisely, to communicate in a manner applicable to all levels. Able to produce high quality and professional presentations. Excellent attention to detail and ability to ensure documents are consistent in language, terminology and style. Flexible approach to work with a focus on delivery to deadlines and high standards. Applicants must be authorised to work in the United Kingdom without the need for visa sponsorship. Applicants must be willing to travel to client site as required (subject to COVID-19 restrictions). Initially, this role will be home based with regular working in our London Head Office. Applicants must be willing to travel extensively throughout the UK and potentially internationally.
