We work alongside and support some of the most prestigious organisations and catering providers though out the UK, in both the Private and Public sectors with a national team of specialised Maintenance Engineers. : To develop and implement Health, Safety and Environmental best practice, ensuring the company complies with current health, safety and environmental legislation, approved codes of practice and guidance in relation to employment and service provision. Duties: Review and development of all aspects of the company's Health Safety and Environmental management processes Maintain compliance, continual review and improvement of the ISO Certifications in-line with the company's Integrated Management System Review and development of safe systems of work and risk assessments Monitoring, evaluation and review of our systems to ensure compliance with legislation and best practice Work proactively with the operations teams and field service engineers to establish and maintain a programme of continuous improvement in the management of Health Safety and Environmental throughout our business Provide relevant information on training in Health, Safety and Environmental systems and procedures including advising on equipment purchase and workplace practices Prepare Toolbox talks and when required Safety Bulletins and Alerts Manage the Training Matrix including online Training Portals Investigate accidents and incidents ensuring the root cause has been identified Collate accident statistics and ensure all investigations are completed in a timely manner To report accidents, in accordance with the Reporting of Injuries, Disease and Dangerous Occurrences Regulations, and complete the necessary documentation for the enforcing authority as required Lead HSE meetings The maintenance of contractor schemes within the business to include Safe Contractor and CHAS, etc and the completion of contractor/customer HS & E statements of intent, tendering processes and due diligence for site/install activities Manage our online Contractor's Approval process Any other reasonable duties as requested by senior management Experience: Working knowledge of ISO 45001, 9001, 14001 and 50001 Experience and knowledge of current health and safety legislation Well-presented and demonstrates a professional image internally and externally Able to work independently Excellent written and verbal communication skills - ability to communicate health and safety information concisely Ability to communicate and drive safety standards within teams and to individuals over which you have no line responsibility Ability to engage effectively with third party suppliers on health and safety issues Self-motivated, assertive, flexible and co-operative Manage all Safety and Environmental issues for both Head office Essential: IOSH Managing Safely, and working towards NEBOSH General Certificate (Desirable) Environmental Management Certificate - (Desirable) Knowledge of UK health and safety legislation Ability to establish Risks and formulate RAMS documents Working knowledge of ISO , 9001, 14001 and 50001 Knowledge of IMS system At least 1 years' experience in HSEQ Experience of formulating, implementing and revising H&S policies and procedures Ability to present information clearly and precisely both orally and in writing
