Waking Nights Support Worker

Job Category: Social Care Job Location: St Albans, Hertfordshire, United Kingdom Are you looking for part-time night work? Could you support people with learning disabilities, helping them live life on their own terms? You'll join us as a Waking Nights Support Worker, working 30 hours a week across three nights. You will be working at two neighbouring properties, helping us to provide a relaxed and homely environment, supporting people aged from mid-twenties to mid-sixties. You'll be supporting people's specific needs, participating in some activities before bed such as reading or watching TV, as well as making light suppers or snacks and ensuring people are ready for bed. You will be available during the night to provide physical support and emotional reassurance when people are wakeful, checking at regular intervals to ensure they are comfortable and getting a good night's sleep ready for the next day. There will be some personal care involved in this role, along with lone working. We will provide full training along with help and advice from your colleagues and line manager. The night shift runs from 21:00 to 07:00. About you Experience isn't always necessary.
