We help support, house, educate, advise, and speak out for disadvantaged young people and adults - and you could now help us make an even bigger impact going forward. Who we are looking for? Nacro are looking to recruit a dynamic individual to work as part of our Wandsworth ex offender supported accommodation to provide housing related support to ex offenders with the aim of achieving a successful move-on and other measurable outcomes including supporting service users to achieve independence. Duties & Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Plan and deliver an effective support and safety plan with the service user referring to specialist agencies as required. The progressions/outcomes identified, delivered and service user contact should be recorded, monitored, reviewed and updated regularly and in line with contract requirements. Ensure that properties are always adequately equipped, maintained, furnished, and cleaned. Empower and motivate service users to Identify and achieve desired outcomes. Actively engage with service users in decisions that affect them. Maximise rent collection, ensuring successful housing and other welfare benefit claims are submitted and maintained, taking proactive action to minimise rent arrears in line with targets, monitoring the account and recording all actions and where necessary taking appropriate action when arrears arise in line with policy and procedure. Ensure that routine property maintenance and damage is reported promptly to maintenance staff. Work collaboratively in a multi-agency setting as required. This includes maintaining professional relationships and appropriate confidentiality of information. The successful candidate should have: Experience of working with offenders or other vulnerable people Experience of support planning and a good understanding of the needs of people that have an offending background Experience of Welfare Rights and Welfare Benefits is desired• Ability to work between 9.00am and 8.00pm with occasional weekend work For details of the full role profile please click here For Details of Nacro's excellent benefits click here Please Apply Online via the button below.
