Job Category: Social Care Job Location: Manchester, Greater Manchester, United Kingdom Outreach Support Worker - Manchester Location: Manchester Hours of Work: 9am-5pm - Monday to Friday Rate of Pay: £10.36 per hour Prospero Health and Social are currently looking for an enthusiastic, confident Outreach Support worker responsible for the provision of Support for Vulnerable Young People. The support worker needs to be versatile, flexible and cooperative approach to work, ability to maintain confidentiality and committed to self -development. Job Role To assist the Service Users allocated Social Worker in the delivery of the service. To accurately record, create, maintain and update electronic records in respect of our Service Users. To prepare for and attend meetings as required or directed. To provide mediation to Service Users as required and/or directed To effectively use IT packages to support the work of the company To work effectively and cooperatively across multi-disciplinary teams. To observe and maintain strict confidentiality in respect of the Service Users, Clients and Company. To pro-actively assist in the development of policies and procedures of the Company. To report any housing issues to the Services Department and to assist, where required, in the resolution of any defects. To undertake On-Call duties as directed. To participate, where required, in office reception duties. Prepared to work with service users on a 1/1 basis or supporting groups of 3 young people 24/7 where sleep in shifts are required Able to show flexibility to cover all offices across the company as and when required Essential NVQ Level 3 Health & Social Care - Children and young People (CCYP) or equivalent Enhanced DBS record on the update service Willingness to undertake further training. Current full driving licence with business Insurance Desirable Dealing with vulnerable people from possible problematic background. Experience of working in a Residential setting Understanding of housing issues affecting vulnerable People. Experience required In a relative social care environment. Experience of working in a Residential setting In dealing with individuals from ethnic minority groups. In dealing with vulnerable people from possible problematic background. In conflict management.
