Child Support Worker

Job Category: Education Job Location: Bromley, Greater London, United Kingdom Do you have experience working with children or young people with special needs? Do you want to make a difference to the lives of vulnerable young people? Do you want to work in a school is dedicated to staff training and development? We are currently looking for resilient, dedicated staff members to join a Good special school in the Sevenoaks area on a full-time basis. The school caters for students aged 4-19, with a wide range of physical disabilities, learning difficulties, and complex medical needs. We are looking for someone who believes strongly in providing equal opportunities for all students, no matter their level of ability. Optimism, resilience, and compassion are essential to succeed in this role. You will be responsible for enabling the student's learning, promoting their independence, and helping them achieve. You will need to be a confident advocate, recognising the potential of the individual and championing their needs along with exceptional communication skills and patience. We are currently recruiting for several roles, including: * Student Support Assistant 1:1 * Student Support Assistant 1:1 with BSL 2 or 3 * Senior Teaching Assistant (Class Co-Ordinator) * Class based Key Worker * Key Worker (Children's Residential, salary potential up to £23, 083 if permanent) * Health Care Assistant 1:1 (part-time - ideal for those looking to gain a step into nursing!) * Trainee Teacher for Primary, English or P.E. (Schools Direct non salaried) * Waking Nights Student Support Assistant (Children's Residential, 2 or 3 nights per week) This role will include a substantial amount of moving and handling and personal care. Experience working with complex physical and medical needs is not essential, as comprehensive training is provided. We provide both temporary and long term to permanent placements with this school in order to provide the flexibility to suit you and your needs.
