This is a particularly lovely and extremely original MGB Roadster in excellent condition throughout. It was originally supplied by Caffyns of Eastbourne and has remained in East Sussex for the majority of its life. It has had only five owners from new, the last keeping it for 23 years. There is a significant service history file which includes the original Passport to Service booklet, a Heritage Certificate,a number of old MOTs and lots of parts invoices going back to the early 90s. The bodywork was restored in the early 90s and the original engine was rebuilt in 1994. The last owner bought the car in 1995 and completed the restoration over the following couple of years, whereupon the car was carefully stored for approximately 20 years, returning to the road in 2016, covering less than 3000 miles in 24 years.Still in its original and very period colour of Harvest Gold, with original Navy interior trim and original engine, this car is in lovely condition, its previous owners having avoided the temptation to ''update'' or ''improve'' the original specification. It drives brilliantly with engine, transmission, and overdrive functioning correctly. There are many MGBs on the market but very few as unmolested as this and in as good overall condition. The recorded mileage is 69000 and I believe that this is correct. Although the car is road tax and MOT exempt it has an advisory free MOT until 20th July 2020. It is also HPI clear. It's an exceptional MGB Roadster which will not disappoint and which, if maintained in the same way as it has been in the past , will continue to give great pleasure and increasing value for many years to come. Please call me, Robin Whittaker, on 07860 726219 for more information or to make an appointment to view and test drive the car.Thank you for looking.
