MacArthur Recruitment is working on behalf of a successful IT, Telecoms and Services company who are looking for an IT Support Technician / 2nd Line IT Technician to join their Support team
This is with a small and friendly team where you will get variety as well as further training and development.
Within this position you will be working within a team, supporting clients both remotely and face to face, playing an integral part in the organisation by providing technical support for hardware and software.
A lot of their business has grown naturally through recommendation and as a result of expansion within a satisfied customer
Ideally they are looking for someone with good broad and deep knowledge who enjoys working with and helping customers; along with having a passion for technology
Most of your role is carried out from the offices in Carlisle, however some customer site visits are required – a pool van is provided for these.
Career development and further technology training are also on offer
The skills listed below are the ideal case however there is some flexibility and some further training can be provided.
For the role of IT Support Technician / 2nd Line IT Technician some of :
* Support onsite or remotely to ensure operational problems are resolved in a timely manner
* Proactive monitoring of IT Systems and preparing and building customer equipment as required
* Installation & Configuration of hardware, software and IT Infrastructure
* Diagnosing system errors and other issues and Help desk and incident management
* Ensure IT support processes are followed and documented
* Troubleshoot, appropriate problem solving and ensuring IT issues are being dealt with effectively, and to the customers satisfaction.
* Providing excellent customer service at all times – phone, email, face to face
* Flexible and willing to learn new skills, Customer service
* Ability to work within a team - ensuring knowledge is shared
* An inquisitive and analytical mind who is service driven
* Drivers license.
Ideal Technical experience for the role of IT Support Technician / 2nd Line IT Technician, some or all of :
* Active Directory
* Microsoft Exchange [Apply online only]
* Office 365, Microsoft Teams
* VMware
* Firewalls, ESET Anti-Virus
* Networking, Windows Server 2012 – 2019
* Windows 7-10
