Front of House Catering Supervisor
Description✓FRONT OF HOUSE SUPERVISOR - OXFORD UNIVERSITY COLLEGE
✓to £27000 per annum plus generous bens package

✓THE JOB
✓We are looking for an experienced front of house manager to work at a leading Oxford College, to set high standards and motivate the staff to deliver excellent service
✓You will supervise staff working on each day and manage the events booked according to the Front of House Manager, booking software, activity schedule etc
✓liaising with kitchen staff, departmental managers and other departments where necessary.
✓Brief other staff working accordingly
✓Ensure Hall and event rooms are set up based on customers' requirements as booked on College systems or as directed
✓This includes equipment, plates and signs etc.
✓Lead the interaction with customers: welcome, greet and seat all customers and guests, resolve complaints etc
✓Effect all service to ensure high standards and liaise with Kitchen re service times/diets/changes/prices.
✓To support the commitment to high standards of food service and presentation
✓Ensure high standards of appearance and personal hygiene for each service according to College standards
✓Set a high example to all FOH Team in appearance and approach to work.
✓IS IT FOR YOU ?
✓It is a manual role and you need to be physically able to complete lifting, walking, or handling of materials
✓Physical activities such as cleaning rooms, setting out and clearing of tables, arranging furniture, cleaning spillages as and when they occur.
✓Confidence to liaise with other team members and deliver what the client wants.
✓Good communication skills to ensure a knowledge of the catering details required for each service.
✓Able to greet students, organisers, hosts and VIPs and show customers you are giving them full attention.
✓To be aware of the college values and work by their ethos.
✓Flexible in terms of working hours
✓Attention to detail
✓Generally IT literate
✓General numeracy
