Food production coordinator
Description✓We have a great opportunity for Line Cooks/Blast Chiller Operators to work with one of the major airline catering companies based at Gatwick
✓Working for a fast-paced and dynamic food production company providing services to more than 200 airports globally, there is lots of career progression opportunities for the right candidate
✓As a line cook working in blast chiller environment, your role will be to work closely with the chef team to ensure dishes enter the blast chiller environment allowing for transfer to the end destination
✓You will be working in a cold environment between 7-12 degrees centigrade and the relevant uniform will be provided to assist you to complete the job.
✓To be considered, you must be able to:
✓- Monitor and record temperatures, humidity and other critical parameters to ensure the proper chilling and preservation of pre-cooked meals
✓- Implement and enforce strict food safety protocols, including proper handling, storage and labelling of chilled meals
✓- Collaborate with kitchen staff and the chef to ensure continuous service at end of process
✓- Ability to weigh, measure and count all stock
✓- Be flexible and willing with a positive attitude
✓- Be a good team player
✓You will be working on a rotating shift pattern of 4 days on, 4 days off from 06.00-17.15 [an 11.25 hour shift]
✓Pay structure: £12.00 per hour plus overtime
✓On Target Earning [including 2.5 hours overtime each week] = £495.00
