Chef Manager
Description✓Recruiting for an experienced and food led Chef Manager to run and manage the catering at this school based in E1, London.
✓This secondary school has approx
✓1400 students on site and caters for morning break and lunch as well as ad hoc hospitality
✓There are 3 separate dining areas although all food comes from one kitchen.
✓As the Chef Manager, you will be
✓* fully responsible for the running of the catering department
✓* oversee the management of the team of 15
✓* driving innovation and development
✓* create exciting and nutritious menus with street food, grab'n'go and pasta options daily
✓* financially accountable for the site
✓As this is a secondary school, it would be advantageous to have secondary school catering experience however this is not essential.
✓Working hours are Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week, term time only.
✓Our ideal candidate would
✓- be an experienced and passionate Chef Manager with a proven career history
✓- ideally have worked within a secondary school environment or similar
✓- have excellent culinary skills with the ability to produce fresh food dishes
✓- be able to lead, manage and develop a team whilst working as a team member
✓- be financially aware and able to manage a budget, costs and admin
✓- drive innovation and development
✓- Have excellent communication skills with the ability to liaise with students and staff
✓- be food focused with an understanding of high street trends and concepts
✓- be flexible and willing with a positive can do attitude
